Cubus, projeto eletrônico baseado no Rio de Janeiro, nos entrega pequenos delírios sonoros que vão agradar em cheio fãs de electro/acid, breakbeats, idm e trip-hop.

O trabalho é bem variado, mas há uma ligação sólida entre as partes: downtempo/trip-hop/idm que trafega pelo lado mais abstrato desses estilos [pensem em Laika, Gus Gus e Lamb] abre e encerra o ep; o “recheio” tem variações diversas com base em electro experimental, desde o lado pesado/tenso de “Adore”, até o mais quebrado, com vocais robóticos ["Bukowski"] e Techno Oldschool com um quê de Acid house ["Mata Hari"].

Surgido em 2003, o Cubus é um grupo eletrônico (hoje com Diego Mode como seu único integrante) que mistura os “breaks & beats” dos anos 90 com as melodias sintéticas dos anos 80.

Depois de um longo hiato, a banda lança o seu primeiro EP chamado Todas as coisas estão no lugar, onde Diego Mode dá uma nova cara as músicas antigas do projeto.

Cubus, an electronic project based in Rio de Janeiro, deliver us a delirious sound which will please fans of electro/acid, breakbeats, idm and trip-hop.

The work is much diverse, but there is a strong link between the parties: downtempo/trip-hop/idm, at their most abstract [think of Laika, Gus Gus & Lamb], opens and closes the ep; the “filling” presents several variations on experimental electro, from the heavier/tense “Adore”, through the broken one [with robotic vocals] “Bukowski” to the oldschool techno [with a hint of acid house] “Mata Hari”.

Launched in 2003, Cubus is an electronic group (now with Diego Mode as theonly member) that blends the “breaks & beats” from 90s with the synthetic melodies of the 80s.

After a long hiatus, the band released its first EP called “Todas as coisas estão no lugar” [translates as "All things are into place"], where Diego Mode gives a new face for the project’s old songs.
